Come join us for a full day of information with Billie Kniffen, one of the country’s leading experts on rainwater harvesting. He will show us how to set up a system for agricultural irrigation purposes and give information on amounts of water to expect based on roof size as well as barrel size needed and pump size requirements.

Billy Kniffen is a Texas AgriLife Extension Service Water Resource Specialist with focus on rainwater catchment education and with state wide responsibilities. He has served in extension for 26 years and most of which were as an extension agent in Hays County (San Marcos) Texas. He currently serves as ARCSA’s Accredited Professional instructor. He helped organize the Texas Rainwater Catchment Association and served as it’s first President in 2007-09. Billy is a Texas A&M Board of Regents Fellow Service Recipient and past ARCSA Regional Director. He has installed rainwater collection systems all over Texas with over 100 on public facilities. He and his wife live in Menard Texas in a home solely dependent on rainwater. Even using water purified by ultraviolet light for drinking.
