Andrew from Sprout Design provided training on the use of the ksfm website at the '10 Kansas Farmers Market Conference for Organizers. Everyone in the session thought using the site was super easy!
KRC won't be calling each market as was done in preparation for the KSFM website launch back in 2009. While it was an amazing experience to speak with someone from each of the 80 or so markets across the state, those calls took more than 50 hours.
Instead, we are supporting markets in using the ksfarmersmarkets.org website to its fullest. In addition to keeping your market profile current, market managers/organizers have the ability to:
1. Add market Events to the calendar
2. Create News postings
3. Write Blog posts
4. Add Recipes
5. Upload Photos
Is it really worth your time to keep information current and list events on the ksfarmersmarkets.org website? You bet!

Search engines, such as google or bing, bring more than 67% of our visitors to the site.
And they're not just searching for "kansas farmers markets"; they are searching "____ farmers market" -- YOUR farmers market! (Curious just what visitors are reading when they visit the KSFM website? Click here to download the top 250 pages by title.)
If your market doesn't have its own independent website, being listed on the ksfm site is a must! Even if you have a website, it is important to keep all web listings current. And finally, USDA is still updating its National Farmers Market Directory.
